Speech Therapy
How We Support Your Child’s Growth in Communication
Home-based Therapy:
At The Little Seedling, therapy takes place in the comfort of your home—where your child feels most safe and at ease. This familiar setting helps boost confidence and supports meaningful progress.
- Children feel more relaxed and ready to learn in a familiar environment.
- Sessions are tailored to your child’s needs and everyday routines.
- You can observe, ask questions, and learn strategies to support your child at home.
- We use real-life moments—like mealtimes and play—to build communication skills.
- Save time by eliminating the need to travel to a clinic.
School-based Therapy:
We value strong collaboration between home, school, and therapy. By working closely with educators, we gain valuable insight into your child’s learning environment and can create strategies that support progress across all settings. This team approach ensures we’re all aligned in helping your child achieve their communication goals.
- On-site therapy sessions during school hours
- Collaboration with teachers to support classroom communication goals
- Observations in the classroom to better understand your child’s learning environment
- Joint goal-setting between parents, therapists, and educators
- Regular updates and feedback to track your child’s progress
- Workshops or training for school staff to support communication strategies
Teletherapy:
At The Little Seedling, we offer speech therapy through secure, interactive online sessions. Each teletherapy session is designed to be fun, personalised, and impactful so your child gets the most out of every moment, no matter the setting. Ideal for families on the go or when in-person therapy isn’t an option.

What to Expect
Our Therapy Process
At The Little Seedling, we believe in partnering with families every step of the way. Here’s how our speech therapy journey typically unfolds:
Initial Consultation (Discovery Call):
We begin with a free 15-minute call to understand your concerns, answer questions, and see if speech therapy is right for your child.
Assessment:
If we move forward, we’ll schedule a comprehensive assessment. This helps us understand your child’s communication strengths and challenges through play-based observations, informal or formal tools, and parent input.
Therapy Plan:
Based on the assessment, we’ll create an individualised therapy plan tailored to your child’s needs. This includes clear goals and strategies to support their growth in communication.
Therapy Sessions:
Sessions are held in the comfort of your home. We use fun, play-based activities to target speech, language, social communication, and more. Each session is structured, supportive, and adapted to your child’s pace.
Progress Monitoring:
We continuously track your child’s progress, adjusting goals and approaches as needed. Regular check-ins help ensure we’re on the right path together.
With your permission, we can also collaborate with teachers, doctors, or other professionals involved in your child’s care to ensure holistic support.
About the Therapist
Charmaine Kwok
Hi everyone, I’m Charmaine!
With over a decade of experience, I’ve had the privilege of working with children and young adults across diverse settings—including a special needs school, a public hospital outpatient clinic, and private practice. I have experience in supporting children with developmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and Global Developmental Delay, as well as those with speech and language delays and social communication challenges.
I embrace a play-based, strength-focused, and neurodiversity-affirming approach, thoughtfully adapting each session to suit their individual needs and strengths. I truly believe that play is a powerful tool for developing communication skills and fostering social connections. My goal is to create therapy sessions that are engaging, meaningful, and fun so every child feels excited to participate and builds confidence along the way.
As a mother myself, I deeply understand the importance of parental involvement. I truly enjoy working alongside parents and caregivers—empowering them with the tools and confidence to support their child’s growth. Helping my clients build confidence in their everyday communication has been a journey of growth for me, both personally and professionally. It has deepened my commitment to ethical practice, compassionate service, and holistic care. I’m grateful for the trust families place in me, and for the opportunity to build strong, lasting connections with each child and their caregivers.
